Issue Details

When I open DAQExpress, I get the following error message related to NI-DAQmx:

Solution

The behavior described above is related to installation issues, which is common with new installations. To troubleshoot the error, follow the steps:
  1. Navigate to MAX, expand the software tab and ensure that there are three entries for NI DAQmx with the same version. Ex: ADE Support19.1, Device Drivers 19.1 and MAX Configuration 19.1. If this causes a MAX corruption, go to Step 2. If the versions are different, go to Step 3.
  2. Reset the MAX database. Make sure to save your MAX configuration if you would like to keep you custom scales or aliases. Next, within NI-MAX, go to Tools, and then Reset Configuration Data. Retry launching DAQExpress and expanding the Software Tab in MAX.
  3. Uninstall and re-install the NI-DAQmx driver. If this option is not possible, then try repairing the driver and software using NI Package Manager.
