Issue Details

I noticed the system time on my computer is changed by the "lktsrv.exe" service (NI Time Synchronization) according to my Windows Event Logs. How can I stop this from happening?

Solution

This may happen because you have a master time server configured in the NI distributed System Manager (DSM). If you don't need a master time server to synchronize time, follow these steps:

  1. Go to NI Distributed System Manager (DSM).
  2. Navigate to View -> Configure Time Servers.
  3. Remove the configured machines.
  4. Click OK.

Additional Information

The NI time Sinchronization Service allows the computer to keep its time synchronized with a master time server, or to act as a time server for other machines. This feature is configured with the Shared Variable Engine settings in LabVIEW. If this service is stopped or disabled, this form of time synchronization will not be available.
