You can purchase third-party toolkits to use in LabVIEW through the NI Tools Network. These toolkits allow you to develop programs with third-party tools and functions to meet the needs of your application.

This article provides you with steps to activate those toolkits using the LabVIEW Third-Party Activation Wizard.

  1. Check your e-mail inbox and look for an e-mail sent by labviewtoolsnetwork@ni.com address. This mail contains a license ID and a password.
    • Note: If you purchased the toolkit directly from the Third-Party vendor, please request this information from them directly.
  2. Launch LabVIEW with administrator privileges by right-clicking LabVIEW.exe and selecting Run as Administrator. This is necessary in order for the activation to become permanent.
  3. Open the Third Party Add-On Activation Wizard in LabVIEW by clicking Help » Activate Add-ons...
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. When prompted use the provided License ID and Password in the appropriate fields and click Activate

Additional Information

  • In case you cannot find the e-mail with the activation code, check in your SPAM. Also, it is possible the activation e-mail was sent to the purchasing manager and not to the end-user.

    • Order Number from the Purchase Order
    • Part Number or Product Name
    • Contact Information (e-mail address, phone number, etc)
