When configuring the NI-Switch Soft Front Panel for a PXI Programmable Resistor Module, what is the relationship between channels and relays?

There are four kinds of PXI Programmable Resistor Modules: PXI-2720, PXI-2722, PXIe-2725, PXIe-2727. Details can be found on the PXI Programmable Resistor Module product page.

If you want to configure the module, the NI-Switch driver software needs to be installed on the host. After the installation is complete, click the module to be configured in MAX. Click the Test Panel to open the NI-SWITCH soft panel which is shown in Figure 1 and 2.

There are two tabs: the Channels tab and the Relays tab. In the Channels tab, you can set the connection relationship of two channels. The Relay tab will automatically set the state of the corresponding relay according to the current connection results.

Different modules include different number of banks. Take one bank (b0) as an example. The following table lists the channel connections if you want to control the relays related to b0.

X stands for different resistance or channel. Other bank connections are similar to the above table. This method is not only suitable for 2722, but also other resister modules.

Note: It is best to set Channel 1 to the upper bank selection when connecting, and Channel 2 is the specific relay selection to avoid configuration errors.
