Follow the troubleshooting steps indicated to avoid this issue:
  • Ensure that the device is operating correctly by checking the status LED(s). Refer to the device manual and documentation to interpret the LED color and/or pattern. If the ethernet cDAQ chassis' status light is repeatedly blinking in sets of 3, follow the step provided in Fix Blinking Status Light for Ethernet cDAQ.
  • Try to update the firmware to the latest version available according to Firmware Information for NI CompactDAQ Network Chassis.
  • If your device is compatible with the version of NI-DAQmx installed but isn’t showing up correctly in NI-MAX, resetting the NI-MAX Database may help.
  • Make sure to use an ethernet crossover cable to connect the Ethernet device to your computer.
  • If possible, try the card in a different system.
  • If you try all of the steps above and continue to see the error, please contact NI Support.
