Issue Details

I have an MXI kit with a PCIe-8381 card and a PXIe-8381 controller card on a PXIe-1085 chassis. I can only establish the MXI link with my chassis when I setup the PCIe speed to Gen 1 even though my cards are capable of Gen 2 MXI communication speed.

Solution

If you have a computer with a BIOS that allows you to select the speed of your PCIe slot, you should setup the speed of your PCIe slot to match the communication speed of your card. For a MXI Gen 2 capable card, the PCIe speed should be set to Gen 2 on the BIOS of your computer.

Additional Information

If the above solution didn't fix the MXI communication issue, please refer to the MXI Connectivity and Compatibility Troubleshooting Guide for additional information.
