Issue Details

I'm using an NI PXIe-6363 module for making measurements. I want to know if I can acquire or generate analog signals on the PFI lines present in the card?

You cannot acquire or generate analog signals on a PFI (Programmable Function Interface) line. However, the PXIe-6363 card has APFI (Analog Programmable Function Interface) lines. While these lines can be used as an analog trigger source for a task, you cannot acquire or generate data on these lines for an analog task.

Additional Information

Each PFI line can be individually configured as a static digital input or a static digital output. These PFI lines are most commonly used for control signals, such as clocks and triggers. The values on the PFI lines cannot be read in a hardware-timed task, but they can be used to fire the change detection event.

Note: The functionality and versatility of PFI lines will vary on each specific device. Be sure to consult the specification sheet for that device to determine the functionality of that device's PFI lines.
