Issue Details

I am using the NI PXIe-8135 and it does not work properly after the system suddenly goes down. I wonder if there is a way to recover old data before formatting and reinstalling.

NI PXI controller does not include a function to recover data, but you can try recovery using method because Windows includes the function to keep your previous system settings.
  1. When the system boot screen is black, press F8 to enter the boot menu.
  2. In advanced boot options, choose safe mode with command prompt.
  3. After boot safe mode with command prompt, you can see the cmd.exe window. in this window, enter the below.
cd c:\windows\system32\restore (Enter)
rstrui.exe (Enter)
  1. After entering the key, you can see the system recovery window.
  2. Select the point to restore to and click next when restoring the computer to the state before the selected event in system recovery windows.
This allows you to return to the previous computer state and recover the data.
