Issue Details

When I was using a Motion Controller such as the PCI-7344 which uses the Motion driver, it was possible to save all the motor settings in a .nce-file would it be possible to do the same thing with a C Series Motor Interface Module that uses the SoftMotion driver such as the NI 9514?

Solution

SoftMotion is a replacement for Motion. The method motor parameters is imported is different between Motion and SoftMotion.

In NI-Motion you would configure the axis in NI MAX and export the Motor configuration to a .nce file.

In NI SoftMotion the Motor Settings are configured in the project not in NIMAX. You configure an axis, and after it's deployed the parameters will stay on the target.
