Issue Details

I have a cDAQ system that is part of a high-voltage system (up to 6kV).  As we are approaching the upper limits of the system, the cDAQ loses power briefly and "drops out". How can we prevent interference on the power input to the cDAQ chassis?

Solution

Some steps you can take to mitigate the interference to the cDAQ chassis are as follows:
  • Add a ferrite bobbin around the USB cable
  • Add a common-mode-choke to the DC input power to the cDAQ. Refer to related links for more information about these devices.
  • Add a radio frequency interference (RFI) shield between the chassis and the source of the interference
