VI Package Manager Fails to Download Package

Issue Details

I am trying to download a package through VI Package Manager on a Windows 10 operating system. VI Package Manager opens and runs. However, when I select a package and then install it appears to work, but then stops working.

I see the error message: This package is not compatible with your operating system or any LabVIEW version installed on your computer.

Solution

When opening VI Package Manager from the Start menu select, right click and select "Run as administrator". This should allow you to download the package as normal.

If the download simply stops halfway through, an alternative solution maybe to download the full package from the VIPM website and install offline.

Additional Information

Windows 10 can have issues regarding Administrative rights when installing software. This can happen even if the User Account is designated as the 'Admin'.
