Can't Configure DAQ Assistant Device Name Input with Control or Constant

Issue Details

I'd like to be able to configure which device my DAQ Assistant is referring to using a control or constant. Why does this option not appear for all my DAQ Assistant instances?
 

 

Solution

The DAQ Assistant will only allow you to configure the device name through a constant or control if all the configured tasks for that DAQ Assistant instance are on a single device. You can check what device the task is referring to by looking at which physical channels are being used. You can do this by right clicking the task, then selecting Change Physical Channel...
