Operating System

Issue Details

I have installed LabVIEW for Linux followed by the ni-daqmx package from NI Linux Device Drivers. On my Linux computer:
  • when I open a VI that contains NI-DAQmx code, I get an error such as NI-DAQmx Driver support for LabVIEW 2017 is missing. and The subVI could not be found when loading this VI. The missing subVI is part of the NI-DAQmx Driver. Exit LabVIEW and install or repair the NI-DAQmx Driver.
  • when I open a new VI and look for DAQmx VIs on the Functions Palette, I do not see any DAQmx VIs.

Solution

Make sure that you follow all the steps in Installing NI Drivers and Software on Linux Desktop including the step to install support for NI LabVIEW.  If you have NI-DAQmx installed but not the LabVIEW support, you will not have DAQmx functionality in LabVIEW.
