Cannot Change Camera FPS in NI MAX

Issue Details

I cannot find the camera parameter for frames per second (fps) in NI MAX. Where can I find this setting and how can I change it?

Solution

With many cameras, frame rate or fps cannot be set directly. It is a result of changing other camera parameters like exposure time, sensor bit depth, and acquired pixels. Changing those parameter will alter the fps of the camera.

Additional Information

There is typically an upper limit for camera frame rate or fps described in its specification sheet. This does not mean that the camera will always operate at that rate due to the factors listed above.
