Change the Installer Source Location When Building an Installer in LabVIEW

Issue Details

I am attempting to build an installer with additional installers in LabVIEW. In the Additional Installers category, it lists the Installer source location which points to our NI source media for the installation. If this source media is moved to a new location on disk, the installer source location becomes invalid. How can we change the installer source location and have LabVIEW look to that location for future installation builds?

Solution

When the location of the NI source media is moved to a new location, LabVIEW will not be able to find the software and will prompt the user to point to the new location of the media as seen in the image below.

The next time a user attempts to build an installer LabVIEW will know of the new location and it will automatically point to the new NI source media location.

If you fail to find an installer, you think you should have, it is advised to uninstall/reinstall the associated software from NI Package Manager to get all the missing components back. This is especially true when your Installer source location is pointing to an unexpected or inexistent path.

Additional Information

Note: If the new NI source media location is selected, as described above, but LabVIEW is not restarted, the old Installer source location may be displayed in the Installer Properties. This should only be an aesthetic issue and is resolved once LabVIEW is restarted.
