Issue Details

  • I am trying to use a 3D-Graph in my LabVIEW project. When I add the graph to the block diagram LabVIEW crashes.
  • I am trying to open an example file which contains a 3D Graph. This causes LabVIEW to crash.
  • When opening a 3D-Graph in LabVIEW, LabVIEW crashes with an access violation (0xC0000005)

Solution

This crash is most likely caused by an incompatibility of the graphics hardware but there are several workarounds for this issue:
  • Update your video driver
  • Turn on/off hardware acceleration
  • Turn on Aero in Windows 7
  • Turn off Aero in Windows 7

Additional Information

Many of the 3D Graphs use the 3D Picture Control . The 3D Graph Picture Control is built on a OpenSceneGraph , which uses OpenGL. Some graphic cards and drivers have compatibility problems with OpenGl, which causes the crash.

This is a known issue of LabVIEW.
