Technical Problem When Activating NI Products

Issue Details

I am activating NI software on the NI Product Activation website and I get the error:
Error Message
We have encountered a technical problem
Please try again later or contact us for assistance


I tried again later and still get the same error message.

Solution

This error often occurs when the serial number being used does not activate the product being selected. Check the selection in the "Product" drop down and make sure it matches the product you are trying to activate. Some products or packages may have similar names and can be confused for one another.

Also verify the year of the product being activated. Some serial numbers only activate certain year versions of the software. If you just upgraded your software, check to make sure your SSP is current .  Your serial number may need an active SSP in order to get the latest software version.
