CAN Type of sbRIO Onboard CAN Port

Issue Details

I am using sbRIO-9607. There is one onboard CAN port, but I don't know whether it is Low speed CAN or High speed CAN. What type of CAN I can use with sbRIO?

Solution

The sbRIO-9606/9607, sbRIO-9626/9627/9633/9636 and sbRIO-9651 System on Module (SOM) have onboard CAN and CAN transceiver.

According to sbRIO-9607 Specifications, sbRIO-9607 uses NXP PCA82C251T high-speed CAN transceiver that is fully compatible with the ISO 11898 standard and supports baud rates up to 1 Mbps.

Therefore, onboard CAN port of sbRIO uses high-speed CAN.
