Issue Details

  • I am trying to build my LabVIEW Real-Time code and I am experiencing build errors with the following message and error 1073. How do I remove this error?
  • I received error 1073 when building an application which uses VIs from 3D Picture Control, but it states the software is in evaluation mode, although it is activated. How can I resolve the issue?
The build was unsuccessful.

Possible reasons:
This build specification uses VIs from software name which is currently in evaluation mode. During evaluation, LabVIEW is unable to disconnect type definitions and remove unused polymorphic VI instances.
Choose a different option on the Additional Exclusions page and build the application again. To purchase this product, please contact National Instruments.
If you have already purchased this product, select Help >> Activate LabVIEW Components to activate this product.

Solution

This error appears when software is installed in your system, but it has not been properly licensed yet. This means that some functionality is missing, and this can generate errors in the build process.

To fix this issue, make sure that you have all of your licenses activated in the NI License Manager. This issue usually appears if the software is not properly licensed.

If the software is already correctly activated, please try restarting your PC.

The issue could also be linked to obsolete VIs present in your build. Make sure to replace and update the VIs that are concerned.

Additional Information

When purchasing LabVIEW Real-Time software for deployment purposes, you may run into the issue that the Real-Time Deployment License is not included. If that is the case, make sure to contact your seller and obtain the proper license.
