Unable to Browse IVI Logical Name Resource in LabVIEW

Issue Details

I can see the IVI Configuration that I've made in NI Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX). However, I'm unable to find the corresponding IVI Logical Name resource in LabVIEW. I may be seeing only a default "COM" port, such as in the image below.
 

Why can I not see the correct IVI Logical Name in LabVIEW, and how can I fix this?

Solution

This could happen if you're missing the NI IVI Compliance Package.
  1. First, try the Refresh option on the IVI Logical Name drop-down menu.
  2. Install the correct version of NI IVI Compliance Package that's compatible with your operating system and other NI software.
  3. Restart your computer after the software installation.
