Status Code: -233900 in MAX for PXI-4065 When Connected via MXI

Issue Details

I have a PXI-4065 module which is connected to my PC via an MXI connection.
  • If I open MAX, I see two PXI-4065 modules and when I press the Self-Test button gives the following error:
Status code: -233900
Internal Hardware Error occurred in DMM hardware. Please contact National Instruments Support.

  • If I run LabVIEW shipping examples for PXI-4065 I get the following error:
Error -1074135040 occurred at niDMM Initialize.vi

Possible reason(s):
IVI: Unrecoverable Failure.

Solution

There are several reasons why this issue might happen. Mainly this is related to the MXI connection and your PC's characteristics. Follow the instructions below to solve the issue.
1. Restore the default settings of your chassis:
  • Run Command Prompt as administrator.
  • Type command bcdedit /set pciexpress default.
  • Reboot computer.
2. If the above method does not work, your mainboard bios may be incompatible with the PXI-4065. 3.  Check for hardware damge if the behavior persists.
  • If possilbe use a second PC with the existing MXI boards.
  • Try using another MXI card, preferably with more throughput.

4.  If the problem still exists, update
  • Firmware of the chassis and modules.
  • PXIe Platform Services.
  • DMM Driver.
