Issue Details

I have for example a 350Ω ¼ Bridge gauge that I want to measure using an NI 9237 with DSUB. The NI 9237 comes with a NI 9923 Screw Terminal Block. I want to use an NI 9945 completion accessory but can't find a wiring solution.

Solution

You will not be able to use the NI 9945 directly with the DSUB version of the 9237, you would have to wire the sensors to the 9923, then connect it to the 9945. In the connection diagram for the 9237, you should be able to see which wires you need to connect from your sensors to the 9923.

Information on how to access the connection diagram in NI MAX can be found here

Additional Information

When measuring from a quarter bridge sensor, the NI 9237 must be used in half bridge completion mode and an external Quarter Bridge Completion Accessory must be used. The resistor of this completion accessory must match the nominal resistance of the quarter bridge strain gauge.
