Issue Details

We are working with an Ettus X310 and trying to set the LO frequency in the Simple Streaming Frequency example of the USRP RIO library. We have previously worked with NI-USRP 2954Rs using this example without trouble. We have not yet gone through the process of converting this board to an NI-USRP device. Do we need to convert the Ettus X310 to be used as an NI-USRP for this to receive the appropriate communication?

Solution

Yes, you will need to go through the conversion process in order to utilize these examples and the VIs therein successfully. Once converted, the device should successfully complete the handshake and return a response prior to timeout, resolving the error.

Additional Information

The process is outlined in the article Converting an X310 into an NI-USRP RIO, which is documented and maintained by Ettus Research. More information on the support of these products can be found on the page Can I Use LabVIEW to Program My Ettus Branded USRP?
