Missing Assemblies in Measurement Studio

Issue Details

  • I am attempting to use the 2013 assemblies (.NET 4.5.1) in Visual Studio 2017 (VS2017), but the installer will not install the 2013 assemblies.
  • I am missing my "Analysis" folder in Measurement Studio
  • Measurement Studio is crashing but is not reporting any errors

Solution

To have the proper Assemblies installed on your computer, please follow these steps.
  1. Install Visual Studio
  2. Install Measurement Studio, following the compatibility chart
  3. Install DAQmx 
  4. Reboot your computer
The assemblies related to DAQmx will be in the following path: C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\MeasurementStudioVS2013\DotNET\Assemblies\18.1.45.69



 

Additional Information

All the assemblies and the .dll related to Analysis, Network Variables, TDMS, and Windows forms are installed in the DotNET folder in the MeasurementStudioVS2012. DAQmx will install on only the Assemblies for the Hardware on C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\MeasurementStudioVS2013\DotNET.
