Does NI-VISA Supports High Speed LAN Instrument Protocol (HiSLIP) Protocol?

Solution

NI-VISA 5.1 or above does support HiSLIP protocol. To confirm if the installed version of NI VISA supports HiSLIP Protocol or not you may refer to its readme file.

  • For HiSLIP related properties details, you can refer to the file NI-VISA .NET Help file at location C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\NI-VISA\Documentation .   • As of today, NI-VISA does not support HiSLIP version 2.0. If you want to use this version of the protocol with one of your instruments, you will have to use 3rd party VISA drivers
