Set Up PTP (IEEE 1588) on Linux Real Time Target

Issue Details

I am trying to set up PTP on my Linux Real Time target, but I cannot see the time sync source in NI MAX. How can I set it up? 

Solution

You cannot configure the time sync of a Linux Real Time target in NI MAX. Instead, the configuration should be done in LabVIEW API. You can use the shipping example called "Enable and Disable Time References.vi" to configure your Linux Real Time target. 

You cannot use TSN and PTP at the same time, so you will have to ensure TSN is disabled using the shipping example for PTP to work.
