My NI myRIO Status LED Flashes Continuously and Is Not Detected in NI MAX

Issue Details

I have an NI myRIO that upon powering it on, the Status LED flashes continuously. I connect the NI myRIO to my PC and the Getting Started dialog does not show up, and neither is it recognized in NI MAX. What can I do to detect my NI myRIO in NI MAX?

Solution

The software installed in the NI myRIO might have gone corrupt. Try forcing the NI myRIO into safe mode and formatting it.

To force the NI myRIO into safe mode, follow the next steps:
  1. Power on the NI myRIO.
  2. Press and hold the Reset Button (located on the top portion of the NI myRIO) for 5 seconds.
  3. The status LED should flash 3 times every few seconds. The NI myRIO is now in safe mode.
