Issue Details

  • I have existing LabVIEW VIs and project files. Can I open that code in LabVIEW NXG?
  • Can I open an existing LabVIEW VI within LabVIEW NXG?
  • When I try to open a LabVIEW project file in LabVIEW NXG I receive the following error: file cannot be loaded 

Solution

LabVIEW file types such as *.lvproj and *.llb files are not compatible with LabVIEW NXG, and it is not possible to directly open them.

A LabVIEW VI can be opened within LabVIEW NXG by using the VI Interop Node. 

Additional Information

If you have existing LabVIEW VIs or project files, you can open them in LabVIEW or you can use the Code Conversion Utility to convert the LabVIEW code into LabVIEW NXG code.
