Issue Details

I have a VirtualBench device and want to check the calibration information. How can I do this?

Solution

There are a few different ways to obtain the calibration information for the VirtualBench. You can find this information at NI Website using the Instrument Certificate Generator, in the VirtualBench Application, and in NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (NI MAX).
  • NI Website using the Instrument Certificate Generator:
You can go to the Instrument Certificate Generator to find out the calibration information of your VirtualBench as well as to obtain a signed calibration certificate. You will be prompted to the serial number of your VirtualBench, which can be found on the bottom of the device. Once you enter your serial number, you will be directed to a verification page as seen on the image below.
  • VirtualBench Application:
To easily check the calibration information of your device when you are running the VirtualBench Application, open the File menu located in the top left of the Application window and select About. The About pop-up window will be shown, similar to the image below, listing the basic calibration information for your VirtualBench device.

  • NI MAX
You can also find the same basic calibration information in NI MAX, as well as more information about the VirtualBench's current operating state. To do so, simply expand the Devices and Interfaces tree and select your VirtualBench device. Under the Settings tab, you will find information regarding the calibration, DMM and CPU temperature, and the fan speed, as seen on the image below.
