If you're using NI's PXI Digital Waveform Instruments to perform a JTAG Boundary Scan, using the JTAG Digital Waveform Reference Library will provide you with high-level building blocks and examples of simple JTAG instructions. However, the library can be only used with hardware-clocked digital I/O devices, not software timed I/O devices.
Note: The JTAG Digital Waveform Reference Library code package uses legacy versions of NI software, has not been tested on new systems, and is not supported by NI.
If you're using TSSI's test pattern tool, TD-ScanPro to perform SVF file conversion for use with NI Digital Instruments, it can be done but the tool does not support 100% of SVF spec yet. To verify SVF file coverage, refer to the TD-ScanPro documentation.
