While NI has PXI Digital Pattern Instruments that have the ability to perform JTAG Boundary Scans, these instruments do not provide an out of the box solution for this protocol.

Additional Information

JTAG Technologies created an API compatible with LabVIEW and TestStand, though it is specifically for their hardware. Additionally, a German Alliance Partner of NI, GÖPEL electronic, provides an API suitable for LabVIEW and TestStand, and also a wide range of boundary scan controllers also including PXI models.

If you're using NI's PXI Digital Pattern Instruments to perform a JTAG Boundary Scan, using the JTAG Digital Waveform Reference Library will provide you with high-level building blocks and examples of simple JTAG instructions. Note: The JTAG Digital Waveform Reference Library code package uses legacy versions of NI software, has not been tested on new systems, and is not supported by NI.
