Issue Details

I am using DAQ and XNET products with NI MAX and Windows 10. When I click on the Settings tab of my device (cDAQ, PCI, PXI, CAN module, etc.) I see a completely gray screen, and the product information does not show up. I need this tab to configure the properties of my device, why does this happen?

Note: Please note this solution is for computers running Windows 10 or higher.

  1. Open the Windows 10 Group Policy Editor (type "gpedit.msc" in the Windows start menu run line).
  2. On the left panel, navigate down to Computer configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options.
  3. On the right side is a list of parameters, disable System cryptography: Use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing, and signing.
  4. Reboot the computer.
