Issue Details

The Ethernet cDAQ Chassis is discovered in MAX, I can set a static IP address for it, and save it without problems. However, when I try to change the IP address, it fails showing the following error when clicking Save:

"There was a problem saving the settings to the target. Make sure your hardware is powered on and that it is connected to the network."

Solution

    1. Remove device in NI-MAX
    2. Disconnect Chassis connection to PC
    3. Reset device by holding down the reset button for 5 seconds
    4. Remove power to the Chassis
    5. Connect Chassis to host computer
    6. Power on Chassis
    7. Change IP address.

With the most up to date firmware and resetting steps above, the Chassis should be able to have its IP address change without the initial error showing up in NI MAX
