What Do I Need to Deploy TestStand Code with LabVIEW Modules on Another Computer?

Issue Details

  • I am trying to deploy a test sequence developed in TestStand to another computer. The sequence files include LabVIEW code modules. What do I need to download to the deployment computer to make sure that the files run correctly?
  • When I distribute my .seq file to a deployment system, and trying to invoke LabVIEW code modules, I am facing below error:

Solution

In order to run deployed TestStand files with LabVIEW code modules, you will need to have the TestStand Deployment Engine and the LabVIEW Run Time Engine installed on the target computer. 
The LabVIEW Run Time Engine is required if and when TestStand makes a call to any LabVIEW code module.

Additional Information

While the LabVIEW Run Time Engine is free to download and use, you will need to purchase a TestStand Deployment Engine License for every computer you plan on deploying the files to.

It is important to note that the LabVIEW Run Time Engine is version specific, so you will need to download the LabVIEW Run Time Engine that corresponds to the version of LabVIEW used to develop the code modules.
