Software

  • Web UI Builder

Issue Details

When I try to use Web UI Builder, I receive the following error messages.
  • When I press Log in, I receive the error Log In Failed. The server is unavailable.

  • When I attempt to Build & Deploy Project on my computer, an error message dialogue box appears with Error: The LabVIEW Web UI Builder server returned an internal error.

  •  When I scroll down and look at "Other Information" in the above dialogue box, I see Error getting service endpoints.

Solution

The UI Web Builder is a legacy National Instruments product that is no longer supported. This means that although you can open the Web UI builder, you will not be able to use it (you cannot access web services or build and deploy your application).

Additional Information

Other options include:

  • The UI Web Builder was replaced by the LabVIEW NXG Web Module and later on G Web Development Software. You can use the LabVIEW NXG Web Module to quickly visualize data from distributed systems through drag-and-drop engineering widgets, intuitive communication mechanisms, and secure hosting, all based on industry-standard technologies. Note that projects created in UI Web Builder are not compatible with NXG Web Module.
  • Another way to publish your front panel as a web page is to use the Web Publishing Tool, please see How Do I Publish My VI to a Web Page? Note that to view the webpage, a LabVIEW runtime environment is required.
  • A third-party add-on called LabSocket, which extends the functionality of LabVIEW applications to the browser.
