Inaccurate Touch Input with Touch Screen Monitor (TSM)

Issue Details

  • When I calibrate a TSM, why I am not able to get the cursor to the edge of the screen?
  • When I calibrate a TSM, why does the cursor favor the center of the screen?
  • After calibration, the cursor does not follow the touch point. Is this a touchscreen issue or a cRIO issue? 

Solution

This is a known issue 699687 with the NI CompactRIO 18.0 driver. There are two workarounds to solve this issue 
  1. Upgrading your driver to NI CompactRIO 18.5 will resolve this issue. 
  2. Use a mouse instead of the touch screen input.
