Issue Details

I am using an analog input module with a scanned sampling mode (also known as a multiplexed module) in NI CompactRIO Scan Mode. I have noticed that even when I am only reading a single channel, my fastest sampling rate is the maximum sampling rate divided by the number of channels.

Does Scan Mode scan all analog input channels, and can I disable any channels?

Solution

NI CompactRIO Scan Mode does scan all analog input channels. This means you cannot meet the maximum sampling rate of a multiplexed module when used in Scan Mode.

Even if you are not reading all of the channels in LabVIEW, you can still monitor them in NI Distributed System Manager.

There is no functionality to disable these channels. If you need the higher sampling rate for that specific module, you can use it in FPGA Mode or Real-Time (NI-DAQmx) Mode .
