Issue Details

I recently retrieved an image from a cRIO 9030 and used this image to set up a new cRIO9030. After doing this I noticed that the /u: and /U: folders which are supposed to show the contents of the USB I have connected don't show the same content. How do I fix this issue?

Solution

To resolve the issue you can do one of the following depending on your situation:
  1.  If you require a similar setup that was on the previous cRIO and you didn't use the Replication and Deployment(RAD) Utility
    • Create/Retrieve another image making sure that the USB is not connected to the cRIO.
  2. If you require a similar setup that was on the previous cRIO and you did use the RADUtility
    • You can do as mentioned in 1.
    • Create/Retrieve another image making sure that you have setup the Black listing to exclude the files/folders that would be included due to the USB.
  3. If you don't require a similar setup to the previous cRIO.
    • Reformatting the cRIO and reinstalling the software will remove the issue.

Additional Information

The reason why this issue occurs is due to the USB folder or U/u drive is copied from the old cRIO and placed into the CompactRIO as a folder. Therefore when the new cRIO has a USB connected to it you will see in one drive the copied folders and files from the USB that was connected in the old cRIO and in the other the folders in the USB on the new cRIO.
