Issue Details

I am using a USB-4431 device on a PC running CentOS 7.5. On the NI-DAQmx 18.1 Readme file, it is mentioned that the driver should support this board. However, the configuration utility (nidaqmxconfig) does not see this board, thus I am not able to make it work in LabVIEW.

Solution

NI-DAQmx 18.1 for Linux does not currently support all the USB DAQ devices (see NI-DAQmx 18.1 for Linux Readme file). For further information, please check the USB DAQ Devices Support for Linux article.

A Windows OS is required to use USB Devices on NI-DAQmx 18.1. Please see the Supported Operating Systems section of the NI-DAQmx 18.1 Readme file to find out which OS versions are supported.

Additional Information

Additionally, for a list of differences that exist between Windows and Linux experience with NI-DAQmx 18.1, please refer to Windows vs Desktop Linux DAQmx Experience Differences.
