Troubleshooting Ethernet IP Camera in Measurements & Automation Explorer (MAX)

Issue Details

I'm trying to configure my Ethernet IP camera in NI MAX but is not showing up in NI MAX. 

Solution

Common problems with installation and configuration of this devices are related to:

1. Software compatibility, be sure you are installed NI-IMAQdx 3.5 or later. 
  • Verify that you have the latest version of the NI-IMAQdx driver installed and activated. You can purchase the software here.
  • Verify that your operating system is supported by the driver by checking the Readme. Also verify the version of LabVIEW you're using is supported.
  • Verify that you don't have conflicting 3rd party drivers.

2. Hardware compatibility, National Instruments only supports Internet Protocol (IP) cameras manufactured by Basler and Axis.

3. Damaged hardware, to discard these problems check the physical status of the device.

Additional Information

Ethernet IP has been functionally replaced by GigE Vision, For troubleshooting for GigE Vision Cameras following the document.
