Computer Hardware Has Changed Since Previous Activation

Issue Details

My NI software administrator uses an Academic Volume License (AVL) or Volume License Agreement (VLA) to license several computers by deploying a ready image to those computers with NI software already installed and activated through pointing NI License Manager to our server.

I have a disconnected license that used to work in the past but now when I run any NI software on my computer I get an error saying:
Computer hardware has changed since previous activation.

What can I do?


This error is due to the NI License Manager recognizing that the computer hardware identifiers have changed. The disconnected licenses are tied to these identifiers and need to be replaced if the hardware changes. 

Please contact your license administrator and request a new disconnected license to be sent to you.
