Computer Hardware Has Changed Since Previous Activation Error When Installing LabVIEW from Image

Issue Details

I am using an academic site license or volume license agreement to license several computers by deploying an image to those computers with LabVIEW already installed and activated through pointing NI License Manager to our server.

This used to work in the past but now when I run LabVIEW on the client machines I get an error saying:
Computer hardware has changed since previous activation.

What do I do?


If you get this error it may be that your license file is outdated and needs to be replaced. Please contact NI technical support and request that a new license file be sent to your licensing administrator.
