Issue Details

  • When I try to install LabVIEW, or a LabVIEW module, the installer gets stuck at 0% complete and doesn't progress. Sometimes I see a green blip in the progress bar but it never gets past 0%.

Solution

To get the installer to progress and get LabVIEW installed correctly, follow the steps below.

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. Install any Windows updates that may be pending. Additionally, try using the Windows Update Troubleshooter to ensure Windows Updates are working correctly.
  3. Attempt the installation again.
  4. If it is still not working, open Task Manager and look for processes called Windows Installer. If there are multiple instances of this process, end them.
  5. Be sure to disable any IT security settings or Windows Group permission settings that may be blocking the installation.
  6. Attempt the installation again.
