How to Acquire an Image from NI Vision Assistant

Environment

Vision Assistant can be launched in two contexts:

If you are using NI Vision Assistant as a stand alone program then simply go to File>> Acquire image and select the image source you would like to use.
If you have launched the Vision Assistant from a LabVIEW Express VI then you will provide to the Express VI a image reference, and the option to acquire an image inside the assistant doesn't exist. It is often easy to use the Vision Acquisition Express VI (Vision and Motion»Vision Express»Vision Acquisition) to acquire an image for the Vision assistant to process.
