Issue Details

I created an Executable LabVIEW and I have a .ini file created with it. In this file, I wanted to change the value of "DebugServerWaitOnLaunch" from True to False. Is it possible to change it when creating the Executable ?

Solution

It is not possible to modify the values of this .ini file directly from LabVIEW when you create the Executable. There are two options :

  • You can edit the value directly in the .ini file with a text editor. Then, when you will launch your application, it will check the new updated value in this .ini.
  • The second solution is to create a VI that will read this .ini file, change the value and save the file just after the generation of the Executable. This VI can be called in the Build Specifications -> Pre/Post Build Actions, as you can see in the image below. This way, the value will be changed just after the creation of the .ini file.
