Issue Details

When I try and license my LabVIEW Real Time Development Module 2009 SP1 I receive an error. My license is valid for this version of software.
"The following serial numbers are invalid or do not match their corresponding products."

There are a few reasons that this error may be occurring the solution to these are shown in the steps below.
  1. If you are using your serial number, check that you have an internet connection. This will allow your computer to communicate with National Instruments and retrieve the license.
  2. If you do not have an internet connection then you will need to use a 20 digit code which you can create at NI Product Activation. Ensure that you have created this code with the correct Computer ID.
  3. Check that you have the license file available on your computer:
    1. Go to [NIDIR]\Shared\License Manager\Licenses where [NIDIR] is your NI Directory usually installed to
      C:\program files\national instruments\
    2. Is there a file called ""?
    3. If not, download LabVIEW Real-Time Module 2009 SP1 - Evaluation License Files and follow the instructions under the Installation Instructions Tab.
    4. If yes please contact National Instruments support.
