Issue Details

I have an embedded cDAQ host that I would like to use with an expansion chassis to be able to utilize more modules. What are my expansion chassis options?

Solution

Your embedded controller's operating system will determine what connections will work for expansion chassis.

Pharlap/VxWorks
Only USB expansion chassis will work for Pharlap or VxWorks targets.

NI Linux Real-Time
NI Linux RT targets (e. g. cDAQ-913x with Linux OS) can utilize either USB expansion chassis or the 9185/9 Ethernet expansion chassis after NI-DAQmx version 17.6 or later is installed on both chassis.

Windows Embedded Standard 7
Windows Embedded Standard 7 targets can accept CompactDAQ Controller (USB, Ethernet, Wireless). Note: NI no longer offers CompactDAQ Controllers.
