KUNBUS DF PROFI II PROFIBUS Board Not Recognized in NI Max

Issue Details

  • I have a KUNBUS DF PROFI II PCI/PXI PROFIBUS board installed in my computer, but it is not recognized in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX).
  • I can see my PROFIBUS board in MAX, but when I click on it, the Vendor field in the Settings tab says "Unknown" or something other than "KUNBUS" or "Comsoft."

Solution

Follow these steps to resolve the issue.
  1. In your Start menu, search for and open Device Manager.
  2. Find the unrecognized PCI Device under Other Devices.

  1. Right-click it and select Update Driver Software...
  2. Select Browse my computer for driver software, then Browse...
  3. Find the folder where you have stored the NI-PROFIBUS for PCI/PXI driver and select it. If you do not have the driver locally on your PC, you can find a download on our website.
  4. Select Next. The device should now be recognized.
