NI-ELVISmx 18.0 Instrument Launcher Fails to Start

Issue Details

I have installed the NI-ELVISmx 18.0 driver but when I try to start the NI ELVISmx Instrument Launcher nothing seems to happen.

Solution

This behavior can be caused by a corrupt installation by NI-ELVISmx or any of its dependencies.

In order to solve this issue you can reinstall both LabVIEW 2018 and NI-ELVISmx 18.0. 
 

Additional Information

The NI ELVISmx Instrument Launcher Soft Front Panels can be opened directly from the Windows Start menu from within the NI folder:
Start>>All Programs>>National Instruments>>NI ELVISmx for NI ELVIS & NI myDAQ>> NI ELVISmx Instruments.

The NI ELVISmx Instrument Launcher crash on startup has been observed in the NI ELVISmx 18.0 driver, but not in previous versions.
