Issue Details

I am trying to use the Rohde & Schwarz NRP Z-91 power sensors as called for in an automated calibration procedure in Calibration Executive. I am unable to get NI MAX (latest version) to see the NRP Z-91. I have the NRP-Toolkit installed and the LabVIEW drivers installed. I was able to get NI MAX to see them but it was using the R&S IVI VISA drivers but Calibration Executive was unable to to use them that way.

Solution

In order to correctly use these sensors with Calibration Executive, you must install both the R&S NRP Toolkit and the NRP-NI-VISA Passport.  The passport allows the device to work correctly with the NI-VISA calls that Calibration Executive uses.  You can download the drivers/passport and find more information about the software at the NRPZ Software Page on the Rohde & Schwarz website.
