Issue Details

How I can find out, that my FPGA device fits our VI FPGA code? We consider either FPGA resources (LUTs, DSPs, Memory and RAM) and a speed on execution of Single-Cycle Timed Loops.

Solution

In order to determine if there is enough FPGA resources for your project, it is not necessary to check this with your real device. It is enough to add to the project a corresponding FPGA target and build your FPGA code. In the compilation results there will be utilized resources for this FPGA. In this way, you can estimate how much resources is needed without a having the RIO target itself.

Speed of execution of your code is also determined during compilation. If you can build your FPGA code successfully, then it will work on a real FPGA target.
