Excess Permissions Error in Volume License Manager

Issue Details

I updated my License File in NI Volume License Manager, and now I'm getting an Excess Permissions error that is preventing me from closing VLM. 
 

 

Solution

This error indicates that you have assigned a license to more users or computers than your license file allows. If you recently installed a new license file, the permissions may have changed. Verify whether any products have a new version number in the updated license file or if the number of users/computers changed from one license file to the other.
